Every year Industria organizes a wide range of activities, related to study, career, internationalization and relaxation. These activities vary from a five day trip to an European city visiting several businesses, to a party on Stratumseind. As a member of Industria you can become part of the organizing committee of one of the many activities. Organizing activities for Industria makes you an active member, which gives the following benefits:

  • Learning experience from organizing activities and cooperating with other members of the committee
  • Invited for Industria’s Active Members Evening and Active Members Trip
  • A lot of fun during organization and during the activities

You can become active in the following committees:

General

  • Industria Board (4th year students)
    The Industria Board are in lead of Industria for one academic year. They sell books for all students, contact companies for business meetings and help committees to operate successfully.
  • Advisory Board (Former boardmembers)
    The members of the Advisory Board help the current Industria Board with their knowledge about their board years.
  • Finance Control Committee (Former treasurers and active members)
    The Finance Control Committee ensures that the treasurer of the Industria board records the accountancy in a right manner

Study

  • Bachelor Councils (Bachelor students)
    Students in the Bachelor Councils reflect courses that are given in the Bachelor School together with the Educational Officer. Teachers will be receiving this feedback in order to optimize the quality of the course.
  • IM Council (IM students)
    Students in the IM Council reflect courses that are given in the master Innovation Management together with the Educational Officer. Teachers will be receiving this feedback in order to optimize the quality of the course.
  • OML Council (OML students)
    Students in the OML Council reflect courses that are given in the master Operational Management and Logistics together with the Educational Officer. Teachers will be receiving this feedback in order to optimize the quality of the course.
  • Pre-Master Council (Pre-Master students)
    Students in the PM Council reflect courses that are given in the Pre-Master together with the Educational Officer. Teachers will be receiving this feedback in order to optimize the quality of the course.
  • Congress Board (2nd year students and older)
    The Congress Board organizes Industria’s yearly Congress. Together they decide the theme, the location, the speakers and are responsible for collecting enough funds to make the day possible.
  • SCOPE (1st year students and older)
    Members of the SCOPE (Industria’s quarterly magazine) committee fulfill different positions. They are split into writers, editors, lay-outers and responsibles.
  • Parents day (1st year students)
    The parents day is a day organized for parents of 1st year students to see what their son or daughter has been doing the past year and will be doing the coming years. The members of this committee organize a course together with a teacher, a lunch and an industrial engineering case.
  • Study awards (Bachelor students)
    Industria stimulates quality courses and motivated teachers by handing out study awards to the best teachers in Bachelor, Pre-Master and Master courses. This committee fills in the program around the ceremony to make it a success.

Career

  • Business Trip (2nd and 3rd year students)
    The Business Trip is a five day trip to an European city where the committee organizes several business visits.
  • Convent (Masterstudents)
    Convent is a consultancy event that is organized every two years by students from study associations Industria and Simon Steven and student association ESC. For more information: www.convent-tue.nl.
  • Wervingsdagen (2nd and 3rd year students)
    De Wervingsdagen is a committee in which students from all study associations of the TU/e can join. Together they organize three big career events: Trainingsdagen, Bedrijvendag and Gesprekkendagen. For more information: www.wervingsdagen.nl.

International

  • International Research Project (Master students)
    The IRP committee organizes a three week trip to an exciting country, where they organize a program related to a theme which had a connection with Industrial Engineering.
  • Interactie Board (Bachelor students)
    The Interactie board organizes Industria’s international activities except the IRP. For more information check Interactie on our website.
  • TIMES committee
    TIMES is a case competition for Industrial Engineering students. This committee organizes this one-day case which includes contacting professors and companies and arranging accommodation for the teams.
  • Public Relations Team
    The PRT is in charge of the PR for Interactie, which means creating and designing the posters, stickers and videos.
  • Corporate Relations Team
    The CR Team is the team that is responsible for the  company contacts of Interactie and tries to arrange sponsoring.
  • Council Meeting Team
    The Council Meeting is a General Assembly consisting for around 250 European Industrial Engineering students. This team is responsible for arranging accommodation, food, transport and parties.

Relaxation

  • Yearbook (2nd and 3rd year students)
    The yearbook committee collects stories about all events Industria organizes during the academic year. In October of the next academic year they present and handout the yearbook to all members.
  • BelgiumTrip (1st year students)
    This committee for first year students organizes a 2-day trip to a place in Belgium for all other first year students. This trip includes a company visit, a fun activity and an evening program.
  • C.I.A. (2nd and 3rd year students)
    The Committee for Internal Activities is responsible for the program of an evening event and a day trip which they organize for all active members.
  • F.A.C.U.L.T.I. (1st year students)
    F.A.C.U.L.T.I. is the committee that organizes three parties in Eindhoven and a pub tour in a place different from Eindhoven. They decide the themes of the parties and who will be playing the evening’s music.
  • Industria Ball (2nd and 3rd year students)
    Industria’s birthday is celebrated during a Diesweek. Traditional, at the end of this week, a white tie ball is organized. The Ball committee is responsible for hiring a location, the music and the drinks.
  • Villa Bartenders (1st year students and older)
    The Villa is our on bar which is open every Thursday from 16.00h to 19.00h. Members of Industria are the bartenders here and you can also join them.
  • Introduction week (1st year students)
    This committee will organize the Industria program during the introduction week of Eindhoven.
  • Introduction weekend (1st year students)
    The introduction weekend is organized for first year students. The committee organizes several activities, games and parties for this weekend.
  • Race of the Classics (3rd year students and older)
    The Race of the Classics is an annualy returning sailing race with classical sailing ships. 500 students all from different places join this race. Industria is the head organizer of Team Eindhoven and the committee is responsible for sponsoring, clothing and hiring a ship.
