Supply Chain Transformation

By Paul Enders & Merel de Bruijn

Like the world’s technology giants (e.g. NVIDIA) rely on chip (contract) manufacturers to make their designs reality – so does ASML crucially depend on it’s supplier ecosystem.

ASMLs technology drives the boundaries of Integrated Circuit (IC/ Chip) manufacturing and we do this by developing and manufacturing various (lithography) systems.

80% of the added value of ASML is delivered by companies in it’s supplier ecosystem. As the strength of a supply chain is dependent on its weakest link, ASML works very closely with the suppliers in the ecosystem. As part of Supply Chain Transformation we run 6-9 month long projects with and at suppliers to prepare them for the next phase of growth. During this growth, many new modules are being introduced that do not only need to meet a very tight time to market, but also be properly industrialized to ensure longer term efficient operations in the supply chain.

During this lunch lecture, two ASML managers and OML alumni will discuss multiple angles on how ASML develops it’s supply chain.
