Event Navigation

This event is for third year bachelor and (pre)master students only. The subscriptions will open Monday 22nd of February, 12:00h. If too many people subscribe, a draw will be held Friday 26th of February.

After the successful edition of last year, Industria and the VBI will organise TBKx again this year. This unique event will take place on Wednesday, March 16th, at the Natlab. The theme of this year: “Success: the road to happiness?” Does being successful make people happy? What is success actually and how can one become happy and/or successful? From 19:30h, some interesting speakers will give short presentations regarding these questions and share their personal vision and experience. The speakers that will share their story are:

Kilian Wawoe – Lecturer HRM at the VU in Amsterdam
“The psychology of success and happiness”

Cees-Luuk Lindeboom
“From nearly millionaire to homeless person”

Menno de Bree – Philosopher and lecturer at the UMCG in Groningen
“Why it is impossible to become happy from your work”

Soenil Bahadoer – Chef of two-Michelin-star-restaurant de Lindehof
“Cooking makes me really happy”

Chantal Woltring – Coach for highly intelligent people
“Take your own control”

The evening will be presided by Rudy van Beurden. With his own enterprise GAAF he has set the goal to positivate everyone in the Netherlands and in his role as chairman he will talk us to through evening.

From 18:30h, prior to the event, it is possible to have dinner on the location and after the presentations there will be a networking drink. Besides that it is promised to be an inspiring evening, it is also a great opportunity to get into contact with Industrial Engineering alumni that are attending the event as well.

There is limit to the amount of students that can attend, so if you snooze you’ll lose! We hope to welcome you in big numbers. See you the 16th!
