Ben jij in staat bewuste keuzes te maken om producten, zelf te produceren, slechts deels zelf te produceren of volledig uit te besteden.
Je gaat je verdiepen in de producten en het productieproces om zo die weloverwogen keuzes te kunnen maken. Door middel van deze handelingen en kennis zorg jij er voor dat het proces zo vloeiend mogelijk verloopt.
Jij zal verantwoordelijk zijn voor een portfolio van 20/25 leveranciers. Escalaties met leveranciers ga jij dan niet uit de weg en je bent in staat dit goed te managen.
Naast de vaste werkzaamheden krijg jij de vrijheid om actief eigen projecten te signaleren en op te pakken, denk hierbij aan automatiseren van bepaalde systemen en processen.

Job Goal
Manage the timely availability of parts and machines within the agreed service levels, taking into acount optimal costs (Total costs of ownership principle) management.
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible to manage the availability according to realistic planning and take into account the available capacity and customer requirements.

Tasks
Alignment
· Alignment of Supply Planning and Business Planning (mid-long term planning);
· Establishes processes that enable supply visibility, flexibility and sustainability;
· Translates business plan into long term supply capacity and sourcing strategy to support demand and inventory requirements (setup and maintain forecasting);
· Applies alternative scenario planning to identify and evaluate potential solutions.

Planning and Execution
· Implements processes and tools that focus on early identification and resolution of exceptions/shortages;
· Defines allocation (service, equipment, R&D etc.) strategy and manages communication in case of scarcity;
· Evaluates Intake plan and production requirement against capacities and resolving exceptions to determine weekly final supply quantities;
· Manages pre-build requirements due to business dynamics (capacity, demand, footprint change, and special holidays);
· Incorporates product life cycle into supply plans to ensure availability and minimize obsolescence (Phase in/phase out management);
· Analyzes capacity plans and calculates optimal mode for ordering/scheduling. Places orders with suppliers and monitors the outstanding order/capacity package in terms of delivery time, quality and price;
· Manager rejects and returns process according the correct priorities;
· Monitor Supply Chain KPI’s (use PDCA method);
· Responsible for Master Data management;
· Streamlines logistics/warehousing activities to minimize all relevant operational cost and communicates in case of exceptions.

Organizing
· Analyzes all inputs and identifies risks/opportunities to set correct priorities and decision making.
· Sets the right balance between short term and long term planning.
· Balances between deadlines & details, speed & completeness, and focuses on items with greatest impact.
· Responsible for inventory levels and actively manage and execute inventory strategies.

Supplier management
• Manages partnership with supplier while holding supplier fully accountable for supply performance;
• Manages key supplier performance indicators: delivery reliability, supplier lead time and obsolescence;
• Identifies, defines and executes supplier improvement initiatives to increase supply agility and reliability;
· Visits suppliers and negotiates operational issues with supplier in alignment with Purchase department
• Proposes and validates logistics agreements with suppliers.

Decision Making and Problem Solving
· Uses a combination of logic, analysis, experience, wisdom, advanced methods, and other resources to make sound, timely decisions and to solve problems especially where no routine solutions exist.
· Demonstrates in-depth process knowledge and actively manages the stakeholders to ensure cooperation with multi-disciplinary teams
· Delivers solutions and decisions that have a positive, far-reaching, and comprehensive organizational impact, influencing future events and directions.

Continuous Improvements
· Identify, create and implement process improvements;
· Develop improvement plans together with internal stakeholders;
· Initiates and runs continuous improvements, taking into account own workspace, department processes, Marel processes and supplier processes.

Planning tool and techniques
· Comprehensively uses available Supply Chain tools / ERP systems and interprets / analyses data to review component plan inputs and constraints;
· Enables smart system planning by using / setting up master data;
· Uses tools to evaluate and improve supplier performance.
