itsme is short for Industrial Technology and Supply for Mechanical and Electrical. We offer advice, training and distribution of electrotechnical and mechanical products, focusing solely on our DNA: B2B customers in Machinebuilding and Industrial production. As an independent Dutch company with more than 150 years of history, we have a strong tradition of “customer first”. As industrial leader, we have the responsibility to provide our customers with measurable added value. We are fully committed to the success of our customers. Hence our slogan “Making You Succeed”. And we live up to it, resulting in a steady Top-3 position in the Dutch Industrial Supplier of the Year elections.
Over the last 10 years, as part of our strategy to support international customers, we have developed activities in Germany, Belgium, Romania and Spain. Currently, we employ 560 people that service and support more than 10.000 customers. Our yearly turnover is 260 million euros.
Main customer groups
Machinebuilders are our largest customer group. The most important component in a machine’s price is the price of its’ products. However, there are other issues on which we partner with our customers like reducing time to market, and co-innovation in technology and (international) supply.
Industrial production factories buy their MRO-materials from us. And, although that is not core to them, that doesn’t make it less important. Whether it concerns Food & Beverages, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals or Marine & Offshore, uptime, cost reduction, safety and quality are key objectives. We offer flexibility, reliable delivery, applied technical understanding and maximal availability 24/7.
Recently, we started an extensive international program to enable seamless omnichannel customer journeys, involving the integration of SAP ECC (ERP), SAP CX (web), SAP Sales and Service Cloud (CRM), SAP MarketingCloud and STEP (product data). Being true to our nature, we run this program ourselves. These investments support our ambitious plans and aim for a scalable growth.
This of course also applies to logistics. With our long tail characteristics and wide range of options, we already offer logistic services that are customised to the needs of our customers. Now, we will use our industrial market leader insights as a head start: we will act on the expectations customers have of excellent value adding logistics. This will entail the (further) development of consistent and systematic services like VMI, special packaging, kitting, information services, project logistics, crossdocking, on-shelve delivery, customer specific stock and much more.
We are now ready to design and build logistics processes and organisations that satisfy current and future needs of customers while at the same time optimising scalability and efficiency. Your challenge will be to translate these targets into an international logistic design that delivers on these goals.
